Celebrating Enclave Games' anniversary with the logo minifigures

— 2 min

After looking back at the first versions of the Enclave Games logo two years ago, this time I’d like to bring the two minifigures I bought that are referencing the original artwork.

Today is the ninth year anniversary of starting the company - when the Enclave Games indentity was forming a few years earlier in 2012 I had the Enclave faction from Fallout 2 in mind. The name stayed, while the logo had to be changed given the IP restrictions from Bethesda.

I had the sentiment for the Enclave’s Power Armor over the years though and at some point was looking for some gadgets I could have.

There were some bad news and some good news. The bad news: the Fallout 2 game was long forgotten, given Bethesda took over the franchise and made Fallout 3 and 4. The good news: one of the Enclave’s Power Armor types used in the game, X-01, resembled the original quite well.

It was “close enough” for me, so I started looking for X-01 toys. While there weren’t that many, especially that the Fallout 4 game was out years ago already, I managed to track an old Funko Pop! series, and ModiphiusFallout: Wasteland Warfare tabletop RPG.

I had to sweep through eBay to get what I wanted, and spent more than I can admit, but ultimately both the X-01 Power Armor Funko Pop! vinyl figure (shipped from Australia) and X-01 Survivor and Dogmeat resin miniature (shipped from UK) arrived.

I could imagine having a custom made (or 3D printed) helmet resembling the original, but those two are the next best thing. It’s quite funny to think about it now after investing so much time into Warhammer recently as I’m seeing Fallout: Wasteland Warfare models making a return and being popular again.

It seems I might need to take the Funko out of the sealed box to play with my daughter as she really likes the X-01. Also, her Shank Funko Pop! (Ewa’s, but Kasia is constantly borrowing it) would finally have a proper companion instead of Octocat plushies and Barbie dolls.
